The purpose of the Kids University (KU) is to help children in our community learn the aspects of good nutrition, strengthen academic skills, and to foster teamwork as they work together developing a student garden.

Spring 2013


February – April 2013
At this point we were assisted by eight of the TCC Interns and during those winter months were able to work with only about 8-12 KU students.  Looking back it was a time when we realized the smallest group of students as the program for their mothers which had been meeting concurrently at the Life Park Church Building was becoming much smaller.

Due to health issues with Dr. and Mrs. Bell in the summer of 2013, both requiring surgery– the students were unable to plant a garden.
